2.5Gbps Broadband is our lowest priced broadband plan. For most residential users, 2.5Gbps is more than sufficient for every day online activities such as music/video streaming, surfing the web, working and even gaming to some extent.

You will enjoy a maximum total bandwidth of 2.5Gbps with each device connection going up to 1Gbps.

Yes, our Optical Network Router (ONR) will be provided and on loan at no additional charge.

Our GPON ONR has 4x Gigabit LAN ports (each port has a maximum speed of 1Gbps). You will need to use at 3 LAN ports on the ONR to fully utilise the total maximum bandwidth of 2.5Gbps. If you have wired the data points in your home, we recommend to connect each data point to a different LAN port on the ONR (up to a maximum of 4 data points). This set up will provide your home with the best possible speed and minimize network congestion per data point.

Our 2.5Gbps Broadband allows a total maximum bandwidth of 2.5Gbps. While each individual connection is up to 1Gbps, the maximum bandwidth capacity of your home broadband network will be unlocked to 2.5Gbps. This removes congestion for your home broadband network and allows more users and devices to enjoy uncompromised speeds of up to 1Gbps.

The following result is based on Singtel’s measured readings for the 1Gbps Broadband Plan across peak and off-peak hours. It is validated from July to September 2024.

The typical download speed range is computed to reflect that, at least 90% of the time, a user should experience the lower bound speed or higher.

Our 2.5Gbps Broadband does not come with wireless router by default. If you need a wireless router, you may top up during sign up.

Yes, all WhizComms Home Broadband plans are compatible with any 3rd party branded routers without ISP customisation.

For new sign up, there will be a $54.50 WhizComms Installation Fee (Weekdays, 9.00am – 5.30pm)  and $61.04 NetLink Trust Activation Fee. There are no other upfront costs.
