What is Home Internet Filter?

Home Internet Filter is an add-on service available to all WhizComms Home Fibre Broadband subscribers. It provides an internet content filter for all devices connected to the same network.

How do I apply for Home Internet Filter?

You can either select this service during sign up or send us a request via email [email protected].

How long does it take to activate?

Allow up to 5 working days for the Home Internet Filter to activate.

Are there any extra charges?

No, there are no extra charges.

Can I change the filter in the future?

Yes, you can change the filter anytime at no extra charge. Please send us an email request to [email protected] and allow up to 5 working days for the change to apply.

How do I whitelist certain devices?

The Home Internet Filter applies to all devices connected to the same network. There is no device whitelisting feature at this moment.

Can I set specific websites to be filtered?

There is no filter customization feature currently. If you need to change or temporarily turn off the filter, please send a request to [email protected]. Allow up to 5 working days for the change to take place.

I have come across an inappropriate website even with the Home Internet Filter applied. What should I do?

The website you have visited may not be included within the categories of your chosen filter. Please refer to the details above and change to another filter. If the inappropriate website you have visited does fall within the categories you are subscribed to, you can send a suggestion to [email protected] and we will review it.

Can I terminate the service anytime without penalty?

Yes! This is a no-contract service so you may terminate anytime without penalty. Do note that there is a minimum subscription period of 1 month.

How do I terminate this service?

Please send a termination request to [email protected]. Allow up to 5 working days for the termination to take place.

  • This service is only available as a value -added service to an activate Home Fibre Broadband subscription.
  • This service is currently available in two filter settings: PC12 and PC18.
  • There is a minimum subscription period of 1 month.
  • Allow up to 5 working days for any new application/changes/termination.
  • Some websites may not be blocked at a given time due to the ever-changing nature of the internet. Our internet filter will be actively updated to ensure the best possible protection.
  • This service will be billed through the customer’s monthly broadband bill.
  • WhizComms reserve the right to change the product features, pricing, or contract period without prior notice.
